The Nest Climbing is an independent bouldering centre in Hayes, West London. We are looking for a lively and enthusiastic climbing instructor to join our small yet expanding team.

Part Time Duty Manager (Weekends +)

​

As a duty manager you will be the primary point of contact for both customers and our staffing team when in. This will require excellent organisation and interpersonal skills and as such prior management and industry experience is desirable.

 

Duties include:

​

  • Ensuring the safety of all customers and maintaining the centre's facilities.

  • Day to day leading of the front of house team to complete a number of cleaning tasks. 

  • Being proactive and contribute to the continued development of the centre. 

  • Delivering climbing sessions to a variety of groups of all ages and abilities, including: adults, children, beginners, coaching, birthdays/groups and, school holiday activities

The right candidate will have:

​

  • Relevant industry knowledge and a passion for climbing

  • Experience within the climbing industry

  • Instructing qualifications - CWA/CWI or equivalent

  • Weekend and evening availability

​

Desired skills/experience (but not essential):

​

  • Experience as a duty manager

  • Knowledge of Rock Gym Pro

  • Coaching Experience (Foundation/Development Coach)

​

Weekend Instructors / Team members

​

The primary aim of the role will be to pick up instructed sessions during our busy weekend period as well as providing cover on the front desk welcoming customers and taking bookings. As such prior instructing experience and qualifications are desirable for this position, along with industry experience.

 

Duties include:

​

  • Working in reception/shop greeting customers and taking payments

  • Taking phone calls and making bookings

  • Delivering climbing sessions to a variety of groups of all ages and abilities, including: adults, children, beginners, coaching, birthdays/groups and, school holiday activities

​

The right candidate will have:

​

  • Relevant industry knowledge and a passion for climbing

  • Weekend and evening availability

  • Experience within the climbing industry

  • Instructing qualifications - CWA/CWI or equivalent

​
